Well another World cup season is done and over with.  Had a great year and had many good races.  Ended off the season 5th in the world cup ranking, stoked.  Especially with it being my first year in elite.  Chula Vista was a great way to end it with great weather and the best track in the world.  Got my second TT podium of the year (2nd place) and ended up with 8th place ranking for the event.

I have some time off now this month to recharge from this season, Body is not 100% right now.  I’ll get that hunger back for 2012!  Will be staying with my good buddy and teammate Sam Willoughby for the month of November in preparation for the ABA grands in Tulsa, OK.  We’ll have a good time together training hard everyday.  I think we’ll even have time for some Chipotle sessions.  Wonder how he will put up with my hype in the mornings, shall be interesting!  I’ve had a good year so far on the world cup circuit and ABA.  Hopefully this last race of the season is a good 2011 send off!

Brantford ON Canada – August 10th 2011

Szoke Rides The Rolleroaster to Second

After starting race #5 of the Canadian Superbike Championship from pole position, Szoke completed the 22 lap race around the 2.56 km circuit Atlantic Motorsport Park in Shubenacadie Nova Scotia, aboard his Competition Systems Kawasaki ZX10 in second place.  Szoke finished the 22 lap race with a race time of 25:14.420.  Jordan finished 5.829 seconds behind the eventual race winner, and is now 55 points behind going into the final double header weekend in Mosport.
“It’s a disappointing day, we seem to keep getting second place,” said a dejected Szoke “I honestly thought we had it this weekend.  I did make a few mistakes here and there but I am honestly riding my guts out.  I am riding very well and pushing hard, but we just need to find that little bit more.”

Saturday afternoon’s Superpole was exciting as Jordan claimed his second consecutive pole position by turning in a lap of 1:07.359 with an average speed of 136.819 km/hr.  Szoke claimed a valuable 4 points towards his Superbike Championship title defense.  “The bike felt so awesome for that lap.” says Szoke “I really think we could have gone a bit faster!”
Watch for Szoke furiously defending his #1 plate during the final doubleheader weekend Rounds 6 & 7 of the CSBK series Aug 19 -21 at Mosport International Raceway.

“I’m really excited to get to finish the season at Mosport.” says Szoke “It’s one of my most favorite tracks, and I always do well there.  It’s also closest to home so our friends and family are able to make it, and it means a lot for me to win there.”

Big up to Standard Films for bringing us the 20th anniversary of Totally Board! Bataleon is supporting this production and we can’t wait to see Gulli’s part. Get ready for this, dropping in fall.
