Welcome to Camp Of Champs week 2.   Finally it’s summer, and it’s intensely hot up the Blackcomb glacier, if you forget to put your sunscreen on you’re in deep poop.    It’s pretty darn fun at COC right now, there is so much snow up there, making the features huge and easy to maintain.   Lots of shreds  are hitting the easy jump line on the right side lane of camp.  I have seen  more double corks in 3 days on the double line than I have in the last year.   Since the sun has come out to play things seem a little more summer-like around Whistler.  People are grabbing their skateboards and bikes and heading straight for the lakes, because its too hot for anything else, not to mention the over abundance of babes at the beach.

Here are a few shots from the hip at COC.   This was really fun to shoot because everyone was working on their methods.  Methods provide great insight into a riders style and personality,  if you can’t method, then you probably have social problems. HAHA, seriously though.  Here are four methods, the first is from an unknown rider (does anyone recognize him?).  His hair and glossy shirt really make the shot, not to forget the amazing mountain in the background.  If that mountain were shredding I bet it would have a sick method.  The second method is from POW’s Scott Brown.  Scott is riding harder than anyone else. He’s not hiking anything, just putting in some serious laps on the T-BAR, and you can see from his riding (balls out with style) that he will be going bigger than everyone for the next few years.  The third method is from POW’s Adam Chuntz.  Damn Chuntz, I didn’t know you had  a method like this.  Chuntz is another shred that you see lapping and not hiking all day.  The fourth method is of COC coach uncle Rube Goldberg.  Rube has timeless style, I love how he takes his methods and melons it at the last second, keeping him off the tail for the landings.

BATALEON’s DBK has been at camp for a week and is shredding hard. DBK made the finals of the Ante Up last week and was putting down some sick 1080’s which he was landing every time.  Here is a shot of him riding the new BATLEON FUNKINK USA.  Here he tries an ummm?

What are we calling the Euro move of the year?  This is a high speed step up knuckle butter. SICK!

Westbeach’s Beau Bishop. Look how fast his hair is going!

If you haven’t had the chance to watch POW’s Kye Peterson ski something, try watching him skate, the kid just plain rips it!

One of the best parts to summer camp in Whistler is how many friends are always around.  All you have to do is go to the skate park, Lost Lake, Rainbow Beach or the village square and you’re bound to meet up with a few friends. BATALEON’s Spencer Lundin cruising the Whistler village for babes

Rampion Canada rep Joel Hersey going for a new look.  Joel was also blasting the COC hip.

Westbeach’ Beau Bishop is all healed up and is in full coaching mode.  Here Beau arrives at camp by way of bike just in time for a COC Halo Tournament.

Annie B was out killing little kids with dodge balls this week.  I wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of this face-killer of a throw.   Annie thanks for being awesome, and gorgeous.

Here OGIO’s Vera Jensan helps a camper learn how to drop in.  When this all women’s skate session started there was one girl who knew how to drop in.  By the end of the hour there were 5 girls dropping in.  Way to go girls.

The next 3 photos I took while I was people watching in the village. One of the best activities in Whistler.

I’m so BOMBER!

Oh he’s such a little sweet heart.  I’m not tired and worn out at all!

This is what happens when you talk smack to your lady.  She breaks out her spicy bean!

The chairlift ride down, the best part of the day.  T minus 30 minutes till lake time.  See you next week. T-Dubs out….
